| Description | ERBB2 (HER2) V842I lies within the protein kinase domain of the Erbb2 (Her2) protein (UniProt.org). V842I results in increased Erbb2 (Her2) activity, downstream Mapk pathway activation, and the ability to transform cells in culture (PMID: 23220880), however in another study, V842I results in similar cell proliferation and viability levels as wild-type Erbb2 (Her2), in two different cell lines (PMID: 29533785). |
